Andrew S. Johnson, Esq.

Andrew S. Johnson is a South Carolina attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning and probate. A Horry County native, Mr. Johnson attended elementary, middle, and high school in Horry County before completing both his undergraduate and legal education in South Carolina.

Mr. Johnson advises individuals and families on the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate-planning documents, with an emphasis on creating clear, practical plans tailored to each client’s circumstances. He also represents personal representatives, beneficiaries, heirs, and families in probate and estate-administration matters, including contested issues that may arise during the administration of an estate.

Before broadening his practice, Mr. Johnson spent several years focused on criminal defense. He has participated in trials in both state and federal court. That experience sharpened his approach to evaluating evidence, identifying the issues that matter most, preparing matters for hearing and trial, and counseling clients through consequential legal decisions.

Mr. Johnson approaches estate planning and probate matters with an emphasis on careful analysis, sound judgment, and clear communication. He believes clients should understand not only the legal requirements involved, but also the practical consequences of the decisions they make. Whether preparing an estate plan, administering an estate, or addressing a dispute among interested parties, his goal is to provide thoughtful counsel and a clear path forward.

Outside the practice of law, he enjoys spending time with his wife, a fellow South Carolina attorney, and their two children.
